Abstract :

Abstract The mercy of God is one of the subjects that has been given so much importance by the Holy Quran to the extent that the vocabulary of this topics is found in almost all of the verses of it. Every verse has come to uncover a bright side religion or to defend it against some misconceptions which claim that it is a religion of terrorism and violence. Therefore، this research consists of an introducation and four chapters. In the first chapter، I have talked about the definition of mercy both in language and in dictionary along with an explanation of the relationship between al rahem and mercy. Then، I have talked about the equivalents to mercy in the Holy Quran. In the second chapter I have talked about the reasons behind the mercy of God through reading verses from the Holy Quran in which I mentioned fifteen reasons for the mercy of God. And in the third chapter، I have talked about some of the aspected of the mercy of God and some representations of it in the Holy Quran. I have also given some examples of this from acts of worship، transactions and punishments in the Islamic Law. In the fourth chapter، I have concluded my research by talking about some of the things that hinder the mercy of God such as al shirk، corruption sins and hypocrisy.
